Spring is Upon Us

  Spring has arrived. Hopefully, here in Salt Lake, the sun stays out and we get less rain. This will mean we can get outside and get active. The outdoors are calling. Some of us will retreat to the great outdoors, while the rest of us will be finding something to do in the city in our free time.
 
Utah Sports Leagues is planning on starting Kickball and Dodgeball leagues this summer. For those of you looking to get active and meet people in your community, this will be a great opportunity for you to do both. Start date will be coming soon. In the mean time, enjoy the sun.

Final Blog Post for Social Media Class

  This is my final post on this blog for my Social Media marketing class. Before this class, I was aware of most of the social media’s we discussed but I was not aware of how I can best use them to my advantage for brand recognition and marketing. I do have my own side business, so using the different social media has helped me create some brand recognition, create more dynamic content, and better reach my target audience. Learning the different uses and how best to reach my audience through social media is a great way to minimize my advertising costs and still reach a large number.
  
  Going forward I plan to keep up my blog, vlog and video podcasts (make better use of my YouTube channel), and audio podcasts. I will be more active in utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This class has given me a great opportunity to learn a lot of new tools and has allowed me to start networking, in ways I hadn’t thought of, within the recreation sports field and get creative with my content.

  Learning so much, which I have already been able to apply, has definitely helped in developing my brand. The content I created during the class and the ideas I now have for content coming in the near future will also help establish my brand. I am very excited to put to use the information I have learned from my class.

Getting Ready for a Podcast

   For the podcast I plan to do next week, I will discuss the tools I have learned to use for branding Utah Sports Leagues and information about Utah Sports Leagues. The podcast for this week is episode one, an introduction, which is practice for future podcasts. I chose to use SoundCloud for this podcast because it is easy to use and embed directly into my blog.
